7P shock swap lift kit for early Touareg and Cayenne
7P shock swap lift kit for early Touareg and Cayenne
Finally have my own leveling solution for putting 2011+ shocks on your 04-10 Touareg, but with the early springs and top hats.
The 2011+ Touareg shocks give your 04-10 Touareg or Cayenne additional down travel, without putting the front upper ball joints or any of CV axles into a bind. The only real issue is that the front spring perch is 2" higher than a 2004 Touareg shock, while the rear is only 1" higher.
These spacers go under the spring on the rear shocks to make an even amount of lift front to rear.
Also a large benefit of using a spring spacer over a strut spacer is that you do not increase the droop travel of the suspension with a spacer, so cradle spacers do not have to be used, and all of your suspension components bolt up like stock.
This is less lift than many of the other options, but wheel travel is maximized within the range of stock ball joints and control arms.
I've been on this setup for around 4 years and it works great.
Yeah you won't be as huge as some guys, but this is the least invasive suspension option in my opinion.
For a Cayenne it is extremely recommended to swap to the 2" longer Touareg springs and enjoy the softer ride along with more wheel travel that comes with the softer springs.
To complete this package you will need the following:
2011+ Touareg shocks(Bilstein B6 are great)
04-10 Touareg springs
To.rage leveling rear spring spacers
No cradle spacers required(better if you dont)
You can use or delete the factory sway bars to your preference.
